Pre-entry Assessments In order to qualify for entry onto an ISA
instructor training course, you must successfully complete the
appropriate pre-entry assessment

Dinghy
Instructor Role is to deliver Levels 1-3 of ISA Small Boat
Sailing Scheme. Course may be designed for sailing dinghies, keelboats
or catamarans

Advanced
Dinghy Instructor Role is to deliver the ISA SBSS Advanced Sailing
Skills Course (Level 4)

Senior
Instructor Role is to manage and organise sailing courses in the
ISA SBSS including the supervision and development of instructors
Powerboat
Instructor Courses

Powerboat
Instructor Learn
to deliver Levels 1 & 2 of ISA National Powerboat Training
Scheme. This is offered in Malahide for
groups of 4-8 people. Pre-entry
guidelines. This is not an adequate level to open as a
powerboat school. You must be Senior Powerboat Instructor to open a
training centre (see below).

Powerboat Instructor: Experienced powerboat instructor having logged
minimum hours and built up experience in teaching powerboat courses.
Details on courses to be provided soon. Details on becoming a Senior
Instructor.
Advanced
Powerboat Instructor Endorsement Existing
powerboat instructors learn
to deliver the ISA Advanced Powerboat Certificate course. This is offered in
Malahide for groups of 4-8 people.

to deliver the ISA Safety Boat Certificate Course. This is offered in
Malahide for groups of 4-8 people.

Additional Courses

and knowledge required to provide emergency care in the marine environment
and on inland waterways where professional medical assistance should be
available within 30 minutes.
