ISA
Competent Crew Certificate:
The aim of the ISA Competent Crew course is to provide an introduction to the
world of sail cruising in a positive and structured manner. The course is as
much about getting to grips with living aboard a cruising boat as it is about
learning to sail. By the end of the course the sailors should be able to take
their place as a competent, safe member of crew aboard a sailing yacht.

ISA
Day Skipper Certificate:
The aim of the ISA Day Skipper (Sail) course is to provide participants with
the basic skills and knowledge necessary to skipper a sailing yacht by day in
waters with which you are familiar. As part of the course, other marinas and
harbours will be visited.

levels of the Yachtmaster Scheme may be catered for. Please
contact us to discuss your requirements and we'll do our
best to facilitate you.

International
Certificate of Competency Assessment (Sail
or Power) By the end of
half day assessment the successful participant will be
capable of helming without supervision in good conditions
and familiar waters.

Irish
Marine VHF (shorebased). Irish Short Range Certificate
(SRC)
required by persons wishing to use a VHF radio on Irish waters.

Code
Européen des Voies de la Navigation Interieure (CEVNI):
The ICC specifies the type of water the certificate may be
used on as either inland or coastal. Coastal certificates
will be issued to candidates who have demonstrated an
appropriate knowledge of the International Regulations for
the Prevention of Collisions at Sea (IRPCS). Inland
certificates will be issued to candidates who have
demonstrated an appropriate knowledge of the Code Européen
des Voies de la Navigation Interieure (CEVNI). Candidates
able to demonstrate an appropriate knowledge in both the
IRPCS and CEVNI may be issued with a certificate valid for
both inland and coastal waters. CEVNI manuals can be
purchased from your local chandlery, or the ISA directly on 01-2800239.

First
Aid: The aim of this course is to provide participants
with the skills and knowledge required to provide emergency
care in the marine environment and on inland waterways where
professional medical assistance should be available within
30 minutes.

Sail Training Centre, we are very happy to introduce the
ISA Cruising (Sail) Scheme to Malahide. Courses available
from Malahide and Carlingford.  With
two spacious double cabins sleeping up to four people and additional
accommodation for a further two crew in the saloon, this Bavaria offers an
exceptionally spacious interior for a 32 footer. To ensure quality
of tuition, our courses cater for a maximum of 4 participants (min 3 clients
required for courses to proceed).
